Taper pins are mainly used for positioning in the connection of different equipment, and are often installed in parts that require frequent disassembly. The taper pin has a taper of 1:50, good self-locking performance, high positioning accuracy, and easy installation, and the impact of multiple assemblies and disassembly on the positioning accuracy is small. It is mainly used for positioning, and can also be used as a connecting pin. The pinhole needs to be reamed.
The cylindrical pin is also a positioning pin, which is used to fix the relative position between parts. It is an important auxiliary part of combined processing and assembly. At present, cylindrical pins are mostly made of high-quality carbon structural steel as raw materials. In general, C35 and C45 are mostly used as materials, but heat treatment is required. Bearing steel is selected under high strength requirements. In small equipment, cylindrical pins can be used both as shafts and for positioning. Because of their great function, cylindrical pins are used in many devices.
There are also several types of cylindrical pins: ordinary cylindrical pins, internal thread cylindrical pins, threaded cylindrical pins, hole pins, and elastic cylindrical pins.
The difference between cylindrical pins and tapered pins:
1、Different processing: cylindrical pins can be pre-processed, and conical pins are usually matched.
2、Cylindrical pins are often suitable for precise positioning (processing first), and tapered pins are often used for frequent disassembly.
3、Cylindrical pins can resist shearing, and conical pins are often used for positioning. The cylindrical pin is fixed in the hinged hole with a slight interference and can bear a small load. In order to ensure the positioning accuracy and the tightness of the connection, it should not be disassembled frequently. It is mainly used for positioning, and also used as a connection pin and a safety pin.
